Child Location GPS System

Posted by Scott Hughes On March - 8 - 2009

amberalertgps2Today I am going to do my first product review.  I feel child safety to be at the top of the list, especially as a father. I have two children, and I could not imagine the feelling of panic when you find that you don’t know where they are. So today’s product review is for a child location GPS system, from a company called Amber Alert GPS.

They offer the safety and security of knowing where your children are at all times, especially if they happen to be abducted. Amber Alert GPS has developed a very small device you send with your child or children, by either putting in their backpack, purse, where ever is convienent for you, and it will transmit a signal to a satellite that will allow you to track where they are at all times.

They have recieved several awards for their product, it has been seen on MSNBC,  and has been picked as the editor’s choice from GPS magazine.

A really cool feature is you can choose to receive a text message about the location of your child or log on to the website and actually track their movement with an interactive map. You can set safe zones for your children, so you will know they have wondered too far, and can immediately call the device and track them down. There is even a feature called “bread crumbing”, you can have it set up to send you a message at different intervals letting you know where your child is at each time, so you can track them and where they are going.

They are giving away FREE child ID kits, just click here, and scroll to the bottom to get yours today. You can also view a demo of the product in action, it really hits home to think that child abductions can happen to anyone, anywhere. Even if you are the most cautious parent out there, we all think we are, just imagine the feeling of not being able to find your child at the park, the grocery store or at the high school basketball game. I would immediatly begin to panic, but since they have the Amber Alert GPS device, all you have to do is call it, and it will give you thier location.

I urge you to go to the website, Amber Alert GPS, and watch the videos, and sign up to get your FREE child identification kit, and check out their monthly plans, so you can have that piece of mind when your children are away or keep from over reacting when your child has gone missing. I wanted to also suggest you check out http://www.sentrykidsgps.com. They have a GPS solution for children and is less expensive than Amber. They also have been focused on child protection for more than 20 years. How long as Amber Alert been around for? Anyway, I would suggest you check these guys out before making any purchases. We have been pleased with their product and their support…

FYI….I found a different product from a reputable, long standing child ID protecion company, and the costs are much better http://www.sentrykidsgps.com

It works great and offers all the same features.

My kids do carry gps chips. They’re called cell phones.

Definatly something to look at as my kids get older and are out of sight more often thanks :D

I understand your stance on that, however today’s GPS units offer much more than just your standard GPS cell phones like bread crumbing, live maps, and SOS panic buttons, as well as being much smaller and harder to detect by a kidnapper.

I have to admit, I like the idea of the underskin GPS chip. I know it doesn’t exist and is probably dangerous, but it can’t be lost as easily. In the meantime, I will have to check out this option.

hey, i’m a teenager and that sounds a bit over the top :/

Really the only advice I have is that once you have children of your own, and you look at society today, and then you will want some way of tracking your children. It is not to get you into trouble it is for your protection. As a father it makes me sick to my stomach to see the things that I see in the news everyday. I work in a jail, and have worked in a prison, I have seen the worse of the worse, and I know exactly what can happen to children today.

I know where you are coming from, and many people probably think the under skin GPS is stretching it a bit, and it probably is. But in today’s society it is hard not to think in such drastic terms. We all want to keep our children safe, and have to continually come up with things to stay on top of the techniques that the abductors are using. Thanks for commenting, stop by again soon.

Great article. I’m sure that these sorts of solutions will be a great relief to parents, especially when their kids are out of sight. Shu Fen you might think it’s over the top, but I wager you’ve never had to stay up most of the night worried about your kids and what might have happened to them, then you understand the meaning of the phrase “hour of the wolf”.
